The Institution of Engineers (India), Faridabad Local Centre, celebrated World Telecommunication and Information Society Day 2025 with great enthusiasm and participation from professionals, students, and members of the engineering community.

The event was formally inaugurated by Dr. Pardeep Dimri, Honorary Secretary of the Centre, who welcomed all guests and participants. Er. Inderdeep Singh Oberoi was invited to deliver the welcome note. In his address, Er. Oberoi highlighted the relevance of this year's theme and emphasized the growing impact of digital technologies on society.

Following the welcome note, Ms. Ruchika, an intern at Purecss and a student of Government Polytechnic for Women, Faridabad, captivated the audience with a heartfelt poem centered on the theme of the day. Her creative expression added a refreshing touch to the program and resonated well with the audience.

The keynote address was delivered by the esteemed Dr. Shruti Mittal, who elaborated on the theme, shedding light on the role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in bridging the digital divide and fostering inclusive development. Her insightful speech provided valuable perspectives on future trends and challenges in the telecom sector.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Pardeep Dimri, Honorary Secretary, expressing gratitude to all the speakers, guests, organizers, and participants for making the celebration a grand success.
